That said, I just completed my 30th year, and am embarking on my 31st. In celebration, I have decided to do 30 things I have never done before ("30 firsts") during this, my 31st year.
There are a lot of things I have never done before that I would like to do, such as publish a book, get a PhD, be married, have children, etc. But I want to focus on things that are accomplishable in a year (is "accomplishable" a word?) - and that I have control over.
I have gone sky-diving, cliff-jumping, been to several European countries, and to Egypt and Israel. But I need some ideas. If you have suggestions, feel free to let me know. So far, I have the following goals:
- achieve my goal weight
- take ballroom dance lessons (both of which I'm working on currently)
- complete a full sprint-distance triathlon
- complete a real bike race (at least 50 miles)
- get accepted into an MPA program.
- I am currently accepting submissions.
So, I invite you to enjoy this journey with me - it's out there for anyone who is interested.
